Auxiliary
The purpose of the Auxiliary Program is to supplement the Sheriff's Office in community relations activities. Members actively participate in many events throughout the year that provide a great benefit to the Sheriff's Office.
The activities the Auxiliary Unit provides include:
Fingerprinting children and distributing child identification kits to parents.
Needy Children's Christmas Toy Drive.
Conduct safety fairs for churches, schools, and other organizations.
Some Auxiliary members volunteer their time working in the county schools.
Auxiliary members attend numerous training events throughout the year.
One member works as a liaison officer for neighborhood watch programs.
The unit volunteers many hours annually. Their work has proven to be a great asset to the Sheriff's Office.
Membership is open to anyone over 21 years of age. Members must not have a criminal record.
